Welcome back to another round of Feature Friday. This week we have a Perth Blogger, originally from the UK. An adventurous one who likes to travel and explore.
HANNAH – WEAREDANNAH
WHO ARE YOU AND WHAT IS YOUR BLOG NAME?
My name’s Hannah Bailey-Churcher ( a bit of a mouthful, so most of my friends call me Han or H), I’m a UK born girl living in Perth, Australia. I work full time as a nurse and blog purely as a hobby 🙂
HOW’D YOUR BLOG NAME COME ABOUT?
A few years ago someone nicknamed me and my boyfriend Dan, Dannah. The name stuck so when I merged our expat blog with my personal blog it felt natural that we incorporated our nickname, sadly dannah.com was a premium domain so I went for we are dannah.
HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN BLOGGING FOR, WHERE DID YOUR PASSION COME FROM AND WHAT DO YOU BLOG ABOUT?
I originally started blogging around 7 years ago on Tumblr, I built up lots of friendships and a little following and then people started to migrate to blogger. I made the jump when I moved to London around 5 years ago, and I’ve blogged on my blog ever since.
I say that my blog’s a lifestyle and travel blog, so it’s about what I get up to on the weekend (whatever one of those is!) and during time off work. I also write about all my / our travels and that’s a side of the blog I always want to expand on. I like to try and represent the ‘normal’ girl, I don’t come from a rich family or work in a high paid job like some of the bigger lifestyle bloggers.
My passion comes from my love of taking photos, having adventures and sharing experiences with others.
WHAT HAVE BEEN SOME OF YOUR HIGHLIGHTS THROUGH BLOGGING EG. EVENTS YOU’VE ATTENDED, BRANDS YOU’VE WORKED WITH OR REACH A CERTAIN MILESTONE.
I remember saying if I ever hit 100 followers I’d be over the moon, and I was. I’m always amazed by how many people read my blog now, even if I’ve not posted in a while. My first paid blog trip was incredible and something I’ll never forget also. More recently hitting a million views (I still keep checking haha) and being shortlisted for an international blog award!
TELL US A QUIRK ABOUT YOU?
I’m dyslexic! And not just a little bit, luckily for me it’s never stopped me doing anything. Another ‘quirk’ that I don’t talk about much on my blog is that I’m a registered nurse on an acute ward, I love my job more than anything- even if it does get in the way of blogging a lot of the time haha.
A BIG THANK YOU TO THE WONDERFUL HANNAH FOR LETTING US INTERVIEW HER. YOU CAN FIND HANNAH HERE:
